Van Gogh uses very controlled short and sharp strokes to bring out the foliage in his paintings.  The complex tones of emeralds were an obvious choice to mirror the various shades of green that inspired Van Gogh as he looked out from his bedroom window.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of this piece will be donated to procure masks for the needy in the fight against Covid-19 in Brazil (@iecap.social).
