Gold 18K and Rutilated Quartzes

Handmade, matte finish and prong setting

The beige hue of the almond blossoms in Van Gogh's painting were a challenge to replicate.  Researching, I discovered that the flowers that he was painting were actually white with small yellow stigmas.

I found that rutilated quartz with its golden lines caused the same effect seen in the almond blossoms. The asymmetry of the branches was recreated in the shaping of the gold.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of this piece will be donated to procure masks for the needy in the fight against Covid-19 in Brazil (@iecap.social).
